Worlds Return to Michigan: 2026 PDGA Pro World Championships Coming to Michigan

Monday, November 24, 2025

Disc golf's biggest stage is returning to Michigan in 2026, and it's happening right in the backyard of the Discraft Great Lakes Open community! From August 26–30, 2026, the PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships will be contested at Kensington Metropark in Milford, Michigan, just a short drive from many of the courses familiar to DGLO players and fans.

This marks a huge moment for the Midwest disc golf scene, bringing the sport’s elite athletes together to battle for world titles on two of the region’s most iconic courses: the challenging, elevation-rich Toboggan Course and the strategically demanding Black Locust South. Both staples of high-level competition and beloved by locals alike.

For DGLO followers, the 2026 Worlds represent more than a marquee PDGA Major, they are a celebration of the thriving disc golf culture we help grow every year. In fact, the Toboggan Course has deep roots with this community, having served as the host venue for DGLO since 2013 and providing unforgettable moments on the fairways.

Expect world-class competition, expanded spectator experiences, and a festival-style atmosphere that showcases disc golf to fans of all ages. Tickets and event details are now available through the official Detroit26 site.
